Well, it’s now September, and I can’t believe the summer is pretty much over 💔 *major sad feels*. BUT, may I say this has probably been one of the most amazing summer’s of my life, as of yet. I met many new people, began new paths in my career, completed cool projects, and had the most amazing experience on my trip.
Follow me through my photo diary below, encapsulating my entire trip from Malibu to LA, and everything I did! Don’t forget to take notes on places and restaurants you MUST check out, if you plan on going soon 😄
The day began by flying into LA, and driving top-down to Malibu. It was such a nice drive, although slightly traffic-y. After arriving, and relaxing around the hotel & on the beach — at a private spot for guests of the hotel, might I add #perks — we (my mom and I) changed and walked down to Malibu Country Mart. Later, we went to Geoffrey’s for dinner, diagonally sitting from Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
The second day begun next door to our hotel on the pier for brunch at the Malibu Farm Café (at the end of the pier). This was my first time, and I loved the vibe… and of course the food! It was very similar idea to Urth Caffé I found, thus I recommend to all. After, we walked back to the Country Mart / Lumber Yard shops, and back to the beach before dinner!
Nobu Malibu was an extra special treat. Not only was it a 5 minute walk from the hotel, but we had an amazing seat, with full view of the entire restaurant. Walking past us at every direction, I spotted Jamie Foxx, Martin Scorsese, Russell Peters, Common, and others that I could not put name-to-face. It was worth booking in advance, due to the fact that it was PACKED until close, and delivered outstanding quality of food.
The last morning in Malibu was spent walking along the beach before heading to Soho Little Beach House. Although bittersweet to be leaving after a few perfect days, the opportunity to be a guest at such an exclusive place cured all the sorrows. Not to mention, the brunch was #LIT 😜 I also spotted the most celebs in one place, I have ever seen, in my entire life. Rosie Huntington Whitely and Jason Statham had the pleasure of watching my sip my Negroni, whilst trying not to spill it on my white shirt.
We then checked out of the most special hotel, and drove to the Getty Villa. It was absolutely beautiful in architecture and design, and a great place to visit. I enjoy strolling through vintage mansions and castles.
In the afternoon, we drove back to LA and checked in at the SLS West Hollywood; a hotel I stayed at before, and love! It’s in the perfect spot between everything, and most spots were walkable, if you prefer to do so. Day 3 ended at our fave vegan Mexican spot, Gracias Madre, and let me tell you that this food is TDF. No joke. Go now.
At this point, we hadn’t really shopped, so we started our day at Barney’s! The last time I was in LA, Freds had just opened, round but I did not have time to go. Thus, brunch was had this time a, and was enjoyed! The rest of the afternoon I walked through Barney’s and Rodeo Drive — check out all of these amazing new pieces I saw (and lusted over).
The evening ended with dinner at Craig’s, where I was confused at the service, BAD music, and LACK of celebs! Until I was brushed by the glowing Chiara Ferragni, of The Blonde Salad, whom I have followed for years now. This was a fabulous surprise, and she was too sweet in person! [This also made my night…worst waitress I have ever had!]
This day began with an outstanding brunch at a personal fave, The Ivy. It’s always such a special treat to dine on the gorgeous patio after sipping a free glass of champagne, surrounded by fresh flowers and greenery! The afternoon was then spent strolling down Robertson, and covering almost all of Melrose. One of my favourite areas — it reminds me of Queen West, in a way.
The evening took us to Cecconi’s, which I had the chance to check out when I was in Miami in January — check out the photo diary here! The vibe at this one was different, but the food was just as delicious.
Today was a pooooolllll daaaaayyyyyy!!! Well, for a part of it at least! I stepped outside of the hotel for a minute, after the relaxing morning. A ton of paparazzi were just waiting; so I asked, and Kris Jenner was inside. I waited for a minute, and Scott Disick was in and out of the restaurant, accompanied by KUWTK camera crew! Too cool — and so was Scott’s car 😍
So then we had a drink and snacks at the restaurant patio, Bar Blanca by José Andres, as The Bazaar — where they were dining — was not open until dinner. It was actually rented out for KUWTK that day! So random and exciting to be right there!
And dinner was at somewhere really special 😜 Follow below for my photos, and the amazing dinner I had in the garden…
… and thus marks the end of my amazing trip! It was pretty fast, but I somehow managed to cover just about everything and everywhere I wanted to visit. However, I know I will be back soon, seeing as though I’m falling more in love with LA.
Until next trip…
