SERIES 6 of The Sneaker Tree x Sass & Leather is here!

Mel (@thesneakertree) and I shot this a few weeks back — on the same day as SERIES 5, actually. If you missed it, check out #thesneakertreeXsassandleather on Instagram. Our inspiration behind this installment was homage to our love for bright colours, and of course sporty attire!

While she normally wears an almost-total Adidas look for each series, this time around, Mel wore different pieces. The base of her look was a classic black tight and sports bra combo by Nike. She paired bold, colourful pieces, to bring a pop of fun and excitement. I absolutely love the pink Stüssy Funky Coaches jacket (sold out, similar here) she threw atop — which I low key would borrow, and probably rock. Pink was my fav colour when I was 5, and it looks fly on me, sooooo…….

Her main inspiration behind the whole look was her pair of deadstock Melody Ehsani x Reebok Ventilator kicks. They feature a python-printed upper, with the super cute metal eye above the toe of the shoe. As you may already know, Mel has quite the sneaker collection. She frequently posts many of her kicks on her Instagram — @thesneakertree — and others’ unique shoes on her page! Check her out, and follow her to keep up to date.

My look featured the very same base as SERIES 5, including a white tee and these amazing 3.1 Phillip Lim long shorts I copped in Paris last summer. They paired perfectly with the colourful Adidas pieces I wore. Added was a touch of techno-edge, translated through this insane pair of Prabal Gurung x Linda Farrow mirrored frames (black version, ON SALE), purchased on sale at The Room at The Bay — for like 80% off, might I add 🙂

You may have seen both the jacket and sneakers featured on my Instagram separately, but I knew they would #WERK together as one for this look! The jacket was a limited release, which I got lucky with finding a few months back. Likewise, the Pride Pack Superstar’s are no longer available, but each year are re-released for Pride Month!!! Finally, my orange Hermès CDC cuff completed this look, as a bold and fun accessory. What can I say — I can never hide from colour!

Be sure to follow my account (@sassandleather) for more captivating posts, that always feature unique pieces, textures, and colours together! You know 😉 Until next post…
