Hello and Happy New Year S&L readers! I apologize for my long-overdue-ness in posting and keeping up-to-date, but I’m back for an amazing year!!! To start the year off with a bang, here I have crafted my personal best-dressed review on the Golden Globes red carpet attendees. Just to be frank, while looking through and choosing the top 15, I found that the choices made in what to wear—generally—were absolutely terrible. However, here we have 15 of the best that stood out in a crowd of ugly and odd gowns, in colour coded order.

Jennifer Lopez, in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture and Jimmy Choo

Can we just say that J.Lo can never do wrong on a red carpet? Canary yellow + glitz = knockout.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley in Atelier Versace

Always gorgeous, but especially in this unique dress by Versace. I love how the dress goes from sequins and stops mid leg with messy chiffon and what appears to be “leaking” sequins dripping down.

Taraji P. Henson in Stella McCartney

One of the foxiest women of the eve, looking classy in this pure white gown. I think the mini fallabella clutch adds a edgy-cool touch to the classic look.

Laverne Cox in Elizabeth Kennedy
Eva Longoria in George Hobeika
Amber Heard in Gucci
Kate Bosworth in Dolce & Gabbana
Emmy Rossum in Armani Privé
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior and Chopard jewelry

OMG! J Law looked #FABULOUS in this true red dress by Dior last night, and as always, was one of my top dressed choices. She always looks fabulous in her Dior outfits, and they just get better each time.

Zendaya in Marchesa
Jenna Dewan Tatum in Zuhair Murad Couture

I’m totally obsessed with the (correct me if I’m wrong) galaxy print that makes up this gown. Looking through the red carpet looks, I found several to have a similar space-inspired concept, but Tatum’s had to be the best.

Jaime Lee Curtis in Oscar de la Renta
Emilia Clarke in Valentino Haute Couture
Kirsten Dunst in Valentino and Fred Leighton jewelry
Lady Gaga in Atelier Versace and Neil Lane jewelry

The final three above, adorned in luxe black gowns, all stole the show. Maybe I’m just saying that because they all looked classy and sexy, especially on an evening where so much colour was seen. And alas, Valentino and Versace of course always steal the show 😉

These 15 women not only looked fabulous, but a few even won an award! Congratulations to Lady Gaga, who won for best actress for American Horror Story Hotel (which I am totally obsessed with right now). She definitely deserved it, and did a fabulous job in her role.

Who was your best dressed #fave?
