I’m totally late on this, but today I went through some of my top looks for next season’s menswear lines. Instead of adding top looks from campaign photographs, I focused solely on runway collections. I thought it would make for a fresher post! Here are my top 13 looks from FW15 menswear collections:
Draped Coats
Public School
Y-3
I quite liked the draping and layering evident in both Public School & Y-3’s collections this season. This edgy-gothic look is definitely a growing and important trend in men’s fashion.
Signature Textures
Loving the layered grey and red pinstripe action in this look.
The use of rope was a big part in Lim’s collection this season, and I thought it was a unique touch, as rope is usually considered something more nautical, used in summer collections. It looks great layered over this coat.
Shades of Grey
Saint Laurent
John Varvatos
Grey is a key neutral shade in fall/winter collections, and these designers have uniquely utilized the shade into each of these coats, shown on their runways. Of course, leather and fur both add depth to each of these classic and stylish looks, by some of my favourite designers.
Bold Looks
Hermès
Yet another stunning men’s top crafted by Hermès in crocodile skin. I’m sure this beauty retails for around $100,000, alike the t-shirt shown a couple of seasons back. I want it.
Louis Vuitton
Kenzo
The great graphic textures in both of these looks are fun, both paired with some really cool not-your-average men’s bags! I’m interested in that garbage-looking-bag by Kenzo!
Colourful Cool
Burberry Prorsum
This coat is so cute, and looks super cozy. Very cool in green as well.
Dior Homme
Finishing off the looks is this one by Dior Homme, pairing many different concepts. My favourite part has to be the drawstring-waist slacks, shown with sneakers. Those pants are going to be mine!!!
