This Thursday (Nov. 6th), I am so excited to be lining up suuuuuuuper early in the morning (around 2am) to shop the long awaited Alexander Wang x H&M collaboration! For a long time before they even announced the collab, I had mentioned that he really needed to get on top of an H&M collection, so that others could shop for cool and signature Wang pieces at lesser prices.
I will defs try to cover my progress in line as best as possible, as well as the chaos inside, but before that I have chosen my favourite pieces from the men’s and women’s collection – some of which I may be purchasing from both! Here are Sass & Leather’s top choices from the Alexander Wang x H&M look book!

Some of my fav’s of what he created for men would have to be the leather & suede baseball top, inspired by ones made in both his collection, as well as T label (his high-priced basics line). I’m also obsessed with the neoprene hoodie and shoes, as well as the breathable mesh top. Some great pieces that are great to wear for an active lifestyle, but are also right on trend!

His women’s line had more pieces that I drool over, and some of them appear to be unisex, following his oversized “boyfriend” look. In both, the mesh tops are clear winners, as well as the crewnecks with WANG embossed across the front.
I’m also obsessed with the lengthy-draped snakeskin printed top; I can picture myself wearing that with the leather tear-off pants, and a pair of high top sneakers. I also thought the workout tops were cute; especially the yellow one, drawing inspiration from the cropped tops in his latest SS15 runway collection!
Even the large sunglasses, toque, bags and socks are great. I feel like he may be on the verge of over-promoting his name, but that’s what this collection is all about: sportswear emblazoned with logo’s!
All in all, I think the collaboration will be a success, and offers something different that what H&M has offered before! If you’re in Toronto, look for me in line at the Eaton Centre downtown; I’ll be there 🙂 What are your favourite pieces?
