Life is starting to get hectic, with exams right around the corner. So for fun, I decided to take a life-break and stroll around the streets of Toronto. One of my favourite places for inspiration is Queen Street West. Loaded with funky stores, restaurants, grungy alleyways and scenery, it’s a really awesome spot within the city.

The Toronto weather is starting to warm up, but there are still hints of chilliness in the air. So I decided to break out my new trench I bought this week, and it was definitely a perfect choice!

I’ve been looking for the perfect trench for months, and was set on my wish list this spring. I ventured into Sandro (a super classy and modern brand) at the Bay, downtown Toronto, where they had the trench of my dreams [super discounted, I might add]!!!IMG_8139 IMG_8140

Trenches are great for both fall and spring, as they are light, yet still shield the cold. The one I’m wearing is a more modern cut, hitting around my hip. It also has nice leather detailing, which I didn’t even notice until I brought it home (even better)! IMG_8169 IMG_8171

A trench coat is also perfect for rainy weather, which was what I was expecting, so I packed my umbrella just in case! Trenches are a timeless piece, and are becoming a great look for young, fashion forward people. Definitely a spring essential! Not only are they easy to wear, but they can be easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Though it was slightly iffy weather, the sun peeked out here and there, which was pleasant! I wore my zebra printed Alexander Wang sunglasses, as well as some bright coloured pieces, which contrasted well with my darker clothing and complimented the sunny outdoors.

The nicer weather also permitted me to break out my new sneakers! I’ve been waiting forever to wear some casj (casual) printed sneakers, since the snow would’ve just destroyed them. Contrasting with my black Saint Laurent-inspired chain jeans, I’m wearing my really funky cloud-printed sneakers. Printed kicks are soooooooo fun, and a definite must-have item this season.

It was fun exploring, and pairing different pieces, together for a unique look. With my casj printed sneakers, to my vintage belt, clean-cut trench, fresh denim, and bright bag, this look encompasses my thought-filled, frantic mind this week!
